Manolis is one of the most successful Greek beach volleyball coaches of all time. After a rich playing career, which included 2 National Championships and 8 gold medals on the Greek National Tour as well as participation in 21 World and European Tour events, Manolis turned his focus to coaching and led the Greek National Teams to two Olympic Games, several World Tour and European Tour medals and many other successes. He has also served as Head Coach of the Cypriot Volleyball and Beach Volleyball National Teams and coached several indoor volleyball clubs. 

His beach volleyball coaching highlights include:

  • Head Coach of Greek Men's & Women's National Team

    • Coached over 593 World and European Tour matches;

    • Women's Teams:

      • 2004 Olympic Games: 2 x 9th places;

      • 2008 Olympic Games: 9th and 19th place;

      • World Tour: 1 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medal;

      • European Tour: 8 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze medals;

      • 2-time European Champions (2005 & 2007);

      • Multiple Greek National Championships.

    • Men's Teams:

      • 19th place in 2004 Olympic Games; 

      • Participation in over 50 World and European Tour events;

      • Multiple Greek National Championships.

  • Head Coach of Cypriot Women's National Team

    • 3 gold medals in European Small Countries Championships

On the indoor volleyball side, his coaching career includes:

  • Head Coach of Cypriot Women's and Junior Women's National Teams

    • 4 gold & 1 silver​ medal in European Cmall Countries Championships

  • Head Coach at O.F.A. Apollonios in the A1 Greek National League;

  • Head Coach at F.O. Vrilissia in the A1 Greek National League;

  • Head Coach at A.E.K. in the A1 Greek National League.

As a professional beach volleyball athlete, Manolis' highlights include: 

  • 2-time Greek National Champion; 

  • 8 gold and 2 silver medals on Greek National Tour;

  • 17 World Tour events; 

  • 4 European Tour events.
