MANOS XENAKIS

Manos is the most successful Greek beach volleyball player in history. He has won a record 7 National Championships with 5 different playing partners and has participated in over 50 World and European Tour events. 

 

A true winner in every sense of the word, he has won an incredible 22 out of 23 gold medal finals that he has participated in! 

 

His beach volleyball career highlights include:

 

  • Seven-time Greek National Champion

    • 2003 with George Knapek;

    • 2005, 2006 & 2008 with Thanos Michalopoulos;

    • 2009 with Felix Blauel;

    • 2010 with George Kotsilianos; 

    • 2013 with Fernando Billiris. 

 

  • 47 FIVB World Tour events. Best finishes:

    • 9th in Athens Open 2005

    • 17th in Paris Grand Slam 2005

    • 17th in Stavanger Grand Slam 2006

    • 13th in Hague Open 2010

 

  • 8 European Tour events

    • 1st in Geroskipou Satellite 2010

 

Manos also had a very successful indoor volleyball career in the top division of the Greek professional volleyball league, with highlights including:

 

  • Four-time Greek National Championship winner with Olympiakos

  • Three-time Greek National Cup winner with Olympiakos

  • 2nd place in the CEV Champions League (2002) with Olympiakos
