How do I become a SideOut member?

You can find all details here:  Membership.

How much is SideOut membership and what does it cover?

Adult membership is £24 and junior membership (up to 18 years old at the time of purchase) is £12. All memberships are valid for 365 days at all our venues and give you access to all our Club’s beach volleyball and volleyball activities, training sessions and tournaments, as well as discounts at all our Play sessions, plus lots of other perks.

Do I need a SideOut membership to play at SideOut’s beach volleyball venues?

No, membership is not required to attend our beach Play sessions or to book a beach court; we also offer non-member prices for those options. However, if you play more than a couple of times per year, becoming a member is beneficial as our generous member discounts will save you lots of money!

Keep in mind that membership is mandatory if you want to

Train with us or Compete  in any of our tournaments.

What is the Single Event Pass and how does it work?

The Single Event Pass is an excellent choice if you're looking for a one-off option instead of an annual membership. It's designed for those who only want to participate in one SideOut tournament per year and won't be joining any of our other activities. With the Single Event Pass, you get access to 1 SideOut beach volleyball tournament of your choice. If your partner is not a member he/she will also need their own Single Event Pass, and your team’s tournament entry fee will be payable separately. Please be aware that the Single Event Pass is not valid for training sessions or any other activities.

What are my training options?

SIDEOUT LEYTON:

If you are joining on your own, you should sign up for Open Group Training and we will allocate you to a training group with players of a similar level. You will train every Tuesday and Thursday evening. These sessions are suitable for intermediate level and above.

If you are joining with friends, you have 2 options:

  • You can create your own Private Group and you will train every Tuesday and Thursday evening; or

  • You can purchase a Flexi Training package which lets you train on whichever days, at whatever times and as often as you like! (subject to venue and coach availability)

We also have dedicated Beginners’ Training Sessions on Monday evenings. These are open to anyone, whether signing up individually or with friends.

SIDEOUT WORTHING:

You can choose between:

  • Drop-In Training Sessions. These take place every Thursday evening and are suitable for all intermediate level players, whether signing up individually or with friends.

  • You can purchase a Flexi Training package which lets you train on whichever days, at whatever times and as often as you like! (subject to venue and coach availability)

We also have dedicated Beginners’ Training Sessions on Monday evenings. These are open to anyone, whether signing up individually or with friends.

If I sign up for Open Group Training at SideOut Leyton, how will you allocate me to a group?

We allocate players into groups based on their skill level. To help us make the allocations and to help players get to know each other, we run open trials at our ‘Drills & Play’ sessions at the beginning of every season. Players are encouraged to attend as many of those sessions as possible. For anyone joining later in the season, just get in touch and we can arrange an informal trial.

What level do I need to be to train at SideOut?

In short, any level! We cater for everyone from complete beginners to intermediate, advanced and elite players.

When exactly will I train?

The final schedule for all Open Group Training and Private Group Training at SideOut Leyton is determined once the groups are finalised after the first few sessions of the season. All players and groups will receive emails confirming their exact schedule.

If you sign up for a Flexi Training Package, please contact us ASAP to let us know the days and times that you would like to use your sessions. We will then confirm availability of courts and coaches and come back to you to finalise your sessions.

How can I get a feel for the club's training style before committing?

You can attend one trial session before committing fully. The session is £15. Please contact us to arrange this in advance.

What if I get injured? Is there a refund policy?

In the unlikely event of an injury and supported by a doctor’s note you will be able to receive a partial refund for the remainder of the training season if you have paid up front. This only applies if you have signed up individually – for example to Open Group Training. If you have signed up as part of a Private Group or Flexi Training Package, you can find a replacement player to join the group in your place.
